Janice Meyer aka Jan Eastgate, high level Scientology Official, Arrested in Australia for Covering Up Sexual Abuse Claims
A senior figure in the Church of Scientology, Eastgate Meyer appeared in a Sydney court accused of perverting the course of justice in 1985 by encouraging and coaching a child and her mother to not report sexual abuse by the stepfather who was a scientologist at the time.
Eastgate, being ineligible for Scientology services because of her mental health history, chose to help promote Scientology's anti-psychiatry front group, Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR),as a way of trying to prove her loyalty to the cult. That loyalty extended to helping the cult cover up atrocities like the one she is charged with trying to pervert the justice of.
